Accommodation

The accommodation within the Knowle Care Home includes 29 single rooms (some with en-suite facilities) as well as 3 double rooms for couples who seek to share or who mutually agree to share. Each room features a call bell providing 24 hour help. All our rooms are decorated to a high standard and we encourage residents to bring in, where practical, items of furniture and other personal effects to help them feel comfortable.  Ten of our bedrooms are in our new purpose built ground floor extension which was opened in April 2017.

The Knowle also features two communal lounges with TV’s as well as a substantial conservatory for those seeking peace and quiet for reading, etc. We have specially adapted and well equipped bathrooms that meet all health and safety standards as well as a well maintained and fully serviced lift to the upper floor. We also provide easy wheelchair access to all main areas.

Facilities The Knowle Care Home provides an adequate care park for visitors. We have a laundry service and a phone for residents to use whenever they wish. We also help residents who wish to follow their religion by putting them in touch with local churches and ministers etc.   Dining We provide a choice of healthy and nutritious meals, catering for any special dietary requirements, served in either of the two dining rooms or in a resident’s own room if they prefer. Hot and cold drinks as well as light refreshments are available from the kitchen at all times of day.

Leisure Activities

We can provide daily newspapers, delivered daily to a resident’s room. We also have a pleasant garden with patios and sitting areas to allow our residents to spend time enjoying the outside. We also have an activities co-ordinator to organise stimulating and wide-ranging shared activities and to help individuals follow their interests and hobbies.
